Mt Lebanon Learns was set up by a group of parents to further informal communication about school issues among parents, teachers and community residents beyond the constraints of PTA and school board meetings. In Mt Lebanon ,
the public schools play a central role in the community connecting neighbors as
well as drawing new families.
We entrust our children to the schools to receive a good education and
hope their lives are enriched by the many activities offered. Mt Lebanon
has a long tradition of excellence in education and to some the neighborhood schools felt as an extension of their own home, a safe and welcoming place. Our school
community faces many challenges and we hope this blog can foster dialogue and
new ideas to meet those challenges and ensure the future excellence and unique
identity of Mt Lebanon ’s
schools.
